Ringer Soak (Kundat Djaru )
![]() |
This place is named in honour of a water source long used by stockmen and ringers at Nicholson Station. In the mid 1980s the Djaru people, who had been forced off Gordon Downs Station in the late 1970s, were able to return to establish this community on a small excision made from the pastoral lease. The community is incorporated as the Kundat Djaru Aboriginal Corporation.
